DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Kirill Alpin (MPI for Solid State Research)\nIn this
talk I will present the problem of calculating the circular\nphotogalvani
c effect in topological semimetals[1]\, a property for\nwhich we would lik
e to study the effects of symmetry breaking of. One\nof the approaches exp
lored in this ongoing project\, different than in\nprevious studies\, is t
o evaluate the resulting implicit surface\nintegrals directly. Previous st
udies used an artificial broadening of\nthe implicit surface\, which conve
rts this problem to a 3D integration.\nIt is solved by sampling a grid\, w
hich introduces rather high errors\nof up to 2% as the grid density is pus
hed to numerical limits[2]. We\nwill discuss different possible solutions
to this problem and the\nsubtleties of implementing a numerical implicit s
urface integration.\nSuggestions on different unexplored approaches to the
