· Concept talks
aim to explain each field’s fundamental concepts and methods to address evolutionary questions, along with its strengths and limitations.
We will have three Concept talks in a lecture-like format of 30min each, followed by a 15min discussion.
- Evolutionary Genetics (by Prof. Dr. Diethard Tautz)
- Evolutionary Theory (by Prof. Dr. Arne Traulsen)
- Experimental Evolution (by Dr. David Rogers)
· Group introduction talks
aim to present all research groups, including its main research questions/methods and theirmembers. Each group introduction talk will be 5min long and will be delivered by the principal investigators (or senior members of each group).
· Open scientific discussion
the aim is for all participants to discuss ideas that sparked their curiosity during the whole event, given that this session will close the event. Attendees can directly pose questions they would like to discuss or anonymously submit them in a box that will be available during the event.
