Dr. George Datseris

Newton international fellow at the University of Exeter.

Theoretical physicist and nonlinear dynamicist.

He is active in a broad spectrum of complex systems: from approaching climate conceptually as a whole and understanding its emergent large-scale interactions, to nonlinear timeseries of climate observations and inferring causal linkages from them, to emerging simple behaviors in socioeconomic systems and their agent based modelling, to the dynamics of music performances, and lastly to fundamental nonlinear dynamics theory and methodology.

He is constantly making high-quality scientific software that makes analyzing complex systems accessible. For example, he is developer of several Julia packages including: DynamicalSystems.jl, Agents.jl, DrWatson.jl, and many others.

Alejandra Ramírez

Doctoral researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Biology (Plön) and the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences (Leipzig).

Physicist interested on evolutionary game dynamics, complex systems, social dilemmas, nonlinear dynamics, chaos theory, socio- and econophysics.

She is also a contributor to open source scientific software.
