Workshop Format
Keynote talks
Invited speakers present their research.
Presentations are one hour long (40 minutes talk + 20 minutes discussion)
MPI Female Group Leaders talk
MPI EvolBio Group leaders shortly introduce their research group in a brief introductory talk. All MPI group leaders talks will be on the 1st day of the workshop.
Short talks
Contributed talks from the participants.
Short talks are 15 minutes long (12 minutes + 3 minutes for questions)
Poster sessions
Scientific posters presented by the participants.
The poster sessions are on Wednesday and Thursday. Posters should be in portrait format, adhering to a maximum size of A0.
Discussion sessions
Each session starts with a topic introduction given by a keynote speaker (ca. 10 minutes), followed by a goal-oriented discussion round.
Each discussion session focuses on a specific topic. Discussion sessions will run in parallel to reduce the number of participants in each session, facilitating an active participation from everyone.
Mentoring talk
30 minutes mentoring talk, followed by a discussion round.
Activities
Walk and Café
We will have a short walk along the lakeshore, followed by a visit to a local café for cake and coffee.
To cover the costs for coffee and cake, there is a fee of €8 that will be collected during check-in on the first day. (Vegan cake will be available)
Farewell barbecue
We will have a donation-based farewell barbecue on Thursday evening.
