Registration
There is no participation fee.
Participants can contribute a short talk or a poster. If you choose to contribute a talk and it is not selected due to time constraints, we may offer you the opportunity to contribute a poster instead.
The number of workshop participants will be limited to encourage an active participation during the discussion sessions. If necessary, participant selection will be based on submitted abstracts.
Travel directions
The workshop will be held at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Biology.
Here you can find detailed directions on how to get to Plön.
The nearest large airport is in Hamburg, from which Plön is reached via regional train or bus in about 2 hours.
The train station in Plön is 10-15 min away by foot from the MPI.

Each participant has to arrange for their own accommodation.

During your stay
You may need to pay with cash in some occasions. You can find ATMs here:

- Förde-Sparkasse (bank in downtown Plön)
The closest supermarket to the MPI is Aldi. You can also find Rewe in downtown Plön.
A pharmacy (Apotheke) is just a few minutes away from the MPI.
Traveling grants
Applications are now closed. We might be able to subsidize traveling costs for a few applicants. If you want to apply for this fund, please send us an email to women@evolbio.mpg.de with a 1) cover letter justifying your request, 2) CV and 3) detailed estimated travel expenses until February 13th.
